Aide-at-Large to the Grand Marshal
Geraldine Johnson was born in Manhattan, NY to Mary Holt from County Wicklow and Samuel P. O’Reilly who was an Irish volunteer who fought in the G.P.O in 1916. Geraldine was educated at Ascension Elementary School, Blessed Sacrament High School and Marymount Manhattan College. Geraldine has been a long time member of the United Irish Counties and serves as Auditor of the Association. Geraldine is past President of the New York Dublin Society and currently is Treasurer of the Society. Geraldine Johnson is a member of Division Twenty Nine Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians and is the chairperson for the Freedom for All Ireland committee at the Division. Geraldine is a member of the Pastoral Council of the Church of St. Joseph’s in Greenwich Village, where she volunteers a lot of her time. She was married to the late Gerard E. Johnson and they had one daughter Mary who is married to Kevin Browne. Geraldine is the proud grandmother of Kieran, age four and Mary Caitlin, age two.
