Queens County Aide: Kieran M. Mahoney
Kieran Mahoney hails from Bayside, Queens and traces his Irish heritage through his father, John from Skibbereen, Co. Cork, Ireland. Kieran is a specialist with the N.Y.C. Human Resources Administration and is currently working on Mayor DiBlasio’s initiative for stable housing of veteran’s and shelter tenants. He is a proud alumnus of Holy Cross High School, in Queens. After graduating from C.U.N.Y. John Jay, Kieran worked for the local N.Y. State Senator in the office of Constituents liaison rep where he quickly learned the importance of community involvement in local government.
He is active in his neighborhood of Queens and is currently the President and Chairman of Bayside St. Patrick’s Day Parade (which had their inaugural parade in 2018). Kieran was honored in 2018 by the Irish Echo with his inclusion in the “40 under 40”.
Kieran is a member of A.O.H. Division 9, Queens County since 2010, and has served as president of the Division since 2013; he also currently serves as vice president of the Queens County Board. Kieran follows both his mother and father who were Aides to the Grand Marshal from Queens County in 1996 & 2011.
Kieran is a parishioner in Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament parish in Bayside.
