Pat was born in Ireland where he attended National School in Killavil and Ballymote Technical College, in County Sligo.  He immigrated to the United States in the early 70’s and his first neighborhood in America was Washington Heights in New York where his parents had also moved.  He joined the construction industry and is now a Project Superintendent with Shawmut Design and Construction, with an office in New York on East 54th Street.  Pat has also been a proud member of Local 79 for many years.

Pat and his wife Marie (also from Sligo) live in Bronxville, New York and are both active members of the Sligo Association of NY. Pat has served in the Sligo Association for many years having served as both President and Vice President. He is also a member of the Chippewa Democratic Club and AOH Div. 1 New York.  Pat was Grand Marshal of the Throggs Neck St. Patrick’s Parade in 2009.
Pat was also instrumental with Irish Member of Parliament member John Perry, TD for Sligo and Leitrim, in getting a national monument erected in Ballymote, County Sligo, for one of the founding fathers of the Fighting 69th, Brigadier Gen. Michael Corcoran – an American Civil War Hero and a native of Ballymote who immigrated to the United States from Sligo in 1846.  The monument was unveiled in Ballymote in August 2006 by New York City Mayor, Michael Bloomberg.
Pat is active in local politics and is a committed member of the community and is always ready to lend a helping hand whenever he can.
