DANIEL J. MULLIGAN

Born and raised in Staten Island, New York, Daniel is the son of Patrick and Theresa. He grew up in Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish. Daniel graduated from Staten Island Technical High School and attended Fordham University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance and its there; he met his wife, Jessica. Danny and Jessica initially settled in Pearl River, New York, with their two children, Jamison and Marilyn, before relocating to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Danny has deep Irish roots in County Cork, with his paternal ancestors emigrating from there. His father served twenty five years with the FDNY, and his mother, a devoted Catholic, was a neonatal nurse. The family legacy includes connections to the military and law enforcement, with Danny’s grandmother, Virginia McCarthy, instilling a strong passion for Irish heritage and values.

Professionally, Danny began his career at Cantor Fitzgerald during college, and later worked at Bear Stearns. Since 2008, he has been a merger arbitrage trader at a Wall Street bank, urrently serving as Managing Director. In addition, he has spent 20 years teaching martial arts to law enforcement and civilians, ensuring officers are prepared for their challenges. Involvement in civic activities includes serving on various committees in Division 3 of the AOH. As well as being a member of the Sons of the American Legion.

Danny is a founding member of Preserve Orangetown and supports the Orangetown PBA and St. Margare’s Church. Daniel is an avid supporter of “Angel’s Circle”, Staten Island, a memorial shrine to 9/11 victims, which holds deep meaning to his family. Danny encourages cultural engagement in his children; he hopes that his son will join as a member of the Fort Lauderdale Highlanders Pipe Band, while his daughter continues to dance competitively with the Kelly Academy of Irish Dance. Despite relocating, Danny remains committed to the AOH and Rockland County, raising his children with strong Catholic values and a dedication to the organization’s mission for future generations.
