JOHN B. KELLY JR.

John Bernard Kelly, Jr. was born in the Bronx in 1951, to John Bernard Kelly, Sr. and Marie Senerchia and traces his Irish roots to his grandparents, Bernard Kelly of Drimkeelan, Co.Donegal, and Margaret Canning of Anskert, Cloone, Co. Leitrim. In 1956, the Kelly family moved to Pearl River, NY, where John attended St. Margaret’s of Antioch Elementary
School, and subsequently Bergen Catholic High School graduating in 1972. John has a Degree in Business from Fordham University and attended Fordham Law School, completing his LL.M at New York University in 1985. In 1980, John joined the law firm of Deloitte as an attorney and became an Attorney-CPA. In 1983, he joined Senerchia & Kelly, Attorneys, where he continues to serve as the principal attorney at the firm to this day. Over the years, John volunteered with the Boy Scouts of America, holding numerous local, county, district, and council positions, he also serves on the New York Archdiocese Committee on Catholic Scouting. John joined the Ancient Order of Hibernians Division 5 in Rockland and later transferred to Division 3 in Pearl River. He has served in a number of roles at the Division 3, such as Treasurer, FFAI Chair, member and Contributor to the National AOH FFAI Northern Ireland Tours, attends National and State AOH Conventions, and participants in the Pearl River St. Patrick’s Day Parade. In 2019, he was an Aide to the Pearl River Grand Marshal, and since 2018 he has been a Rockland County delegate to the NYC St. Patrick’s Day Parade. John resides in New City, New York, and is a member of St. Augustine’s Parish, where he ministers Holy Communion to the homebound, serves as a lector at Mass, sits on the parish’s Finance Committee, and is a catechist in the Religious Education Program. He is married and a devoted father to his children.
