Westchester County Aide to the Grand Marshal

Margaret “Peggy” Flynn is the third of five children of the late James and Margaret (née Dolan) Brennan.  She was born and raised in the Elmhurst section of Queens, New York.  A proud Irish American, Peggy traces her Irish roots to County Mayo on both sides of her family.  After graduating from Our Lady of Perpetual Help High School in Manhattan in 1978, Peggy began her career as a civil servant working for the Social Security Administration.  After 42-years of service, Peggy retired in July of 2020.

Peggy joined the Ladies Ancient of Hibernians, Lady of Knock, Division 2, Orange County, New York in 2002.  During her time with Division 2, she served as Division President and later as LAOH Orange County Board Vice President.  Peggy is currently a member of LAOH Division 19, Our Lady of Knock, Yonkers, Westchester, NY, where she transferred in 2019.  Peggy was elected Vice President of the division for 2024.

Peggy has been married to Mike Flynn since 2014, and the couple reside in Fort Montgomery, NY.  Peggy and Mike are active members of Sacred Heart Church in Highland Falls, NY.  She taught CCD for 30-years and currently volunteers her time at the church’s thrift shop and is a lector at the parish’s weekly Sunday mass.

Love of God, family, country and heritage are very important to Peggy.
