REV. RYAN A. MULDOON

With family roots in County Mayo, Fr. Muldoon is the younger of two children born to Bruce and Nancy Muldoon in Pearl River, New York. Fr. Muldoon graduated from Don Bosco Preparatory High School in 2009, and went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Georgetown University in 2013. Fr. Muldoon completed his seminary formation for the priesthood at Cathedral Seminary House of Formation (Queens, New York), and at the Pontifical North American College (Rome, Italy). He earned a Master of Arts in Catholic Philosophical Studies from St.Joseph’s Seminary (2015), a Bachelor of Sacred Theology from the Pontifical Gregorian University (2018), and a Licentiate in Sacred Theology from the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas (2020), where Fr. Muldoon is currently a candidate for a Doctorate in Sacred Theology. Fr. Muldoon served as Parochial Vicar of the Church of St. Joseph in Bronxville (Summer 2019), and the Church of St. Patrick in Yorktown Heights (2020-2023). Father Ryan A. Muldoon was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of New York by Cardinal Timothy Dolan in 2019, and presently serves as Parochial Vicar at St. Patrick’s Cathedral. Concurrently, Fr.Muldoon serves as the Director of the Office of Ecumenical and Interreligious Dialogue for the Archdiocese of New York, as well as Adjunct Professor at St. Joseph’s Seminary (“Dunwoodie”) in Yonkers. He is active in various local and national ecumenical and interfaith groups, with a particular interest in Jewish Catholic relations. Fr. Muldoon was awarded the inaugural “John Paul II Prize for Catholic-Jewish Studies” in 2021.Fr.Muldoon serves as a regional representative to the Catholic Association of Diocesan Ecumenical and Interreligious Officers. He is a Fourth Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus and a lifetime member of the National Eagle Scout Association.
