Warren G. Coffey is one of four children born to Arthur & Clara (née Madden) Coffey on Staten Island. Warren traces his Irish heritage on both sides of his family to Counties Offaly, and Galway. Warren received his religious instruction at St. Joseph’s Church, Staten Island, attended Curtis High School, and John Jay College of Criminal Justice. In 1974, he joined the NYPD and worked in various precincts and detective bureaus for 25 years, before retiring as a Sergeant in 1999. After retiring from the police department, he joined the Brooklyn & Staten Island 10-13 Association where he is currently the 3rd Vice President. Warrant is a member of the Fraternal Order of Police (Rocco Laurie Memorial Lodge #22), and the AOH Division 4-Staten Island. Warren also enjoys hunting, attending sporting events and going to car shows, and over the years, Warren enjoyed volunteering at St. John Villa Academy where his daughters attended school. Warren is married to Joanne (née Romano) since 1979, whom he met while “walking the beat” in Greenwich Village, and they have two daughters.
